Pour tenir la distance, pour aller en profondeur dans
les créations, les inventions. Non, il ne suffit pas
qu'un petit groupe de copains ait une idée légère, se
prépare vite en quelques jours pour venir parader.
C'est un autre jeu, ça.
Pour la Zinneke Parade, on conjugue les imaginations, on
mêle les racines, on produit du solide, qui dure, on
travaille sa propre créativité avec les créateurs et
les réalisateurs, on se fait de nouveaux amis, on éclate
son petit cercle confortable, son cocon, on se dérange,
on se prépare à l'accueil en ville, on se met à sa
hauteur, on met un point d'honneur à lui donner le
meilleur, à recevoir comme il faut ses invités, les
spectateurs de partout.
Car Zinneke, ce n'est pas une journée éphémère, un
divertissement sans suite. La Zinneke Parade contribue
à la construction d'une ville cosmopolite,
multiculturelle, créative, ouverte et dynamique, une
ville où la vie de tous les jours serait déterminée
par d'autres relations que des relations commerciales.
Zinneke prépare l'avenir. A propos d'avenir, reste déjà
plus qu'un an et demi . les cours, déjà, palpitent un
peu plus fort.
On se prépare déjà pour que «Les Zinnekes en joie,
la Parade passe. »

In de eerste plaats om voldoende afstand te houden, om
de vondsten en creaties de nodige diepgang te geven.
Neen, een troep vrienden, een vaag idee en een
haast-je-rep-je voorbereiding kunnen echt niet volstaan
om mee op te stappen in de Parade. Zinneke is andere
koek.
De Zinneke Parade is een spel van verbeelding, een
kruising van roots en tradities met het oog op een
duurzaam resultaat. In Zinneke investeer je je
creativiteit samen met de kunstenaars en begeleiders, je
breekt los uit het comfortabele gekende kringetje en je
verstoort je dagdagelijkse cocon. Met Zinneke bereid je
je voor op de grote ontvangst in de stad en je zorgt
ervoor dat de duizenden toeschouwers het allemaal naar
hun zin hebben.
Zinneke is geen eendagsvlieg, geen vluchtig vermaak. De
Zinneke Parade bouwt aan een kosmopoliete,
multiculturele, creatieve, open en dynamische stad, een
Brussel waarin andere dan commerciële relaties
betekenis geven aan het dagelijks leven. Slechts
achttien maand scheiden ons van de volgende Z-dag...

In the first place in order to keep sufficient distance,
to give the inventions and creations the depth they
need. A bunch of friends, a vague idea and a hasty
last-minute preparation are really not enough to join in
the Parade. Zinneke is not like that.
The Zinneke Parade is an act of imagination, a crossing
of roots and traditions with the aim of an enduring
result. You invest your creativity in Zinneke together
with the artists and supervisors, you break out of your
comfortable familiar circle and upset your little
workaday cocoon. When participating in Zinneke you
prepare yourself for a great reception in the city and
see to it that the thousands of spectators get what they
want.
Zinneke is no flash in the pan, no fleeting
entertainment. The Zinneke Parade builds on a
cosmopolitan, multicultural, creative, open and dynamic
city, the Brussels where relations other than the
commercial give meaning to everyday life. It is only
eighteen months to the next Z-day. Isn't it time hearts
starting beating a little faster ?
We are getting started now ! Although a procession
is a passing thing, the Zinnekes are certainly not.
